The Alabama Southern Library System plays an integral role in the attainment of the institutional objectives for the entire college. The libraries are not only concerned with shaping students into independent, lifelong learners who are successful in both educational and occupational settings, but they also serve as informational and technical resource centers for local communities. Because of the rapid technological developments in our society, students must develop the flexibility to learn and re-learn as demands in their personal lives and in the workplace change. It is to this end that the ASLS strives to equip students to access and to assess this changing information which is critical to continued personal growth and workplace competitiveness and sustainability.
