Dr. Reginald Sykes

Welcome to Alabama Southern Community College and our website. We are pleased to introduce you to our college and the educational programs and services we offer for students and our community members.

Alabama Southern is a multi-campus, comprehensive, open-door community college located in southwest Alabama. We are here to serve you, and invite you to explore the wide range of highly successful academic transfer programs and award-winning career technical programs offered at Alabama Southern. Our programs are a fraction of the cost of a four-year college, and ASCC students graduate without a mountain of debt in student loans.

At Alabama Southern, student learning is our top priority. Research shows that students who graduate from ASCC and transfer to a university do just as well or better than those that start at a four-year college. Many of our career technical program students have jobs before they graduate, and Alabama Southern technical labs are among the best in the country. Nowhere else will students get more personalized instruction and attention than at Alabama Southern.

Community is not just in our name, it’s at the heart of our mission. We are committed to helping the communities we serve develop and thrive. Alabama Southern offers adult education for those looking to complete a GED, continuing education classes for those with specific learning interests, and workforce development for business and industry training needs.

Whatever your career or personal goals might be, we encourage you to visit our campuses, talk with our staff and faculty, and explore your options at Alabama Southern.

We look forward to helping you succeed.
