Alabama Southern Community College Foundation presents Monroe’s Mystery, Murder & Mayhem,” an audience participation murder mystery dinner theater featuring great icons and characters from Monroeville’s rich literary heritage.

While dining in the historic Hybart House, a grand 1920s Mediterranean Spanish villa, you will be invited to help solve the evening’s crime through clues provided by a cast of suspects mingling among you. Watch your back as famous literary characters like Mayella Violet Ewell (To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee), Dolly Talbo (The Grass Harp by Truman Capote), Tom McInnes (Dog Island by Mike Stewart) and Holly Golightly (Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Truman Capote) come to life and try to sway you with their side of the story. Don’t be fooled, though. Great literary writers such as Fannie Flagg and Hank Williams Sr. will be on the scene to tell you what REALLY happened.

Enjoy live music, great food from Naman’s Catering of Mobile and a fantastic Wine & Beer Bar, as you try to figure out WHO DONE IT!

Remember this evening of fun and mischief with your purchase of a special keepsake glass, commissioned for this event. And, don’t forget to ask for the MMMM Signature Drink!

The evening will also feature a silent auction and door prizes.

Proceeds from the dinner theater will benefit student scholarships.  Click here for more information about the Alabama Southern Foundation.
