New Pell Grant Policy for Summer 2010: Based on the Higher Education Opportunity Act, it is the policy of Alabama Southern Community College to award Summer Pell Grants for the 2009-2010 year to eligible students based on their 2009-2010 Federal Student Aid Report only. During subsequent summers, beginning with the 2010-2011 year, students will be paid from the processed Student Aid Report which benefits them the most. Students will need to make sure a FAFSA has been completed for both years available and they will need to coordinate this with the financial aid office.
